How to Learn Street

If you've ever seen a street dance performance in person, or on a show like America's Best Dance Crew, then you know it's a huge crowd pleaser. Even those who don't like hop-hop music (myself included) love watching hip-hop dancers. It looks cool and even if you don't plan on performing anywhere, it's a neat skill to have under your hat. There are a few different places you can go to to learn how to street dance and each have their pros and cons.
Local dance studios will often have hip hop and street dance lessons. These are great because you are learning from a professional dancer. it's also a great way to meet other people with similar interests. However, dance studios are known for having some rather expensive lessons so you should opt for a trial package if available to avoid spending too much if it turns out that you don't like the lessons. Street dance lessons at a studio will usually charge per class.
Private dance lessons will usually be done in your own home, or at the home of the instructors. This is a better option for those who don't want to feel pressured to keep up with the rest of the class. Private street dance lessons will also make sure the focus is on perfecting your skills, since there won't be other people to distract you or the instructor. On the downside, private lessons are even more costly that lessons at a studio. Ask if your local studio offers one-on-one coaching, or check Craiglist and newspaper listings. Private street dance lessons are most often charged at an hourly rate.
YouTube is a free and convenient way to learn street and hip-hop dancing. There are many channels established solely for the purpose of teaching hip-hop dance moves. Most of these videos will expect you to bring some knowledge to the table however, so you probably won't get any individual assistance. Even so, you will be able to learn hip-hop dancing for free and on your own time. If you're shy, you might feel more comfortable practicing alone on your own time.
Online dance lessons offer a mix between video instruction and personal assistance. In addition to having a library of intrustional videos that you can complete and revisit at your own pace, you will also have access to a coach or instructor who can answer your individual questions. Most online street dance lessons have a small one-time fee.

Street Dance History

Street dance is a dance that developed in the streets. This dance developed in America and parts of Africa. Created by teens in there to fill their spare time and to have fun.Only by growing on the roadside, in front of the school garden and also at the amusement park, street dance menduniawi until now.The development of this one kind of dance is very fast, even a few communities in America began to take shape. In 1981'an, street dance has become like fashion around the world. Almost every night in some parts of the city there are several communities that each show skill in conducting this type of dance, though not a few that culminate in a scene. The way they compete is very similar to the freestyle commonly found in Hip Hop music. Not just in the streets just this dance is found, because the club and the party became a soft land for the dancer to show skill.
In late 1983, began much kompetis street dance that was officially sprung and Street Fighting is one competition that is very classy. The presence of this competition immediately followed by various dance groups.

Movement-Movement of Street dance

Movements used in street dance consists of a combination of street style, a little hip-hop and break dancing. These movements are often used in street dance are as follows:
-Toprocks

showing movements requiring flexibility, style, and the most important rhythm. This dance is commonly used at the beginning of the show as a warm up some other acrobatic style.

-Downrockusually shown by the position of the hands and feet on the floor. In downrock, a dancer showing the rotation of the body with foot speed and control by combining the movement of the feet. This combination will display the style which is called power moves;;
-Power Move is momentum and movement that requires physical strength to menjalankannnya. at power move, is more dependent on upper body strength to dance, use hands to move. Power Move consist of Windmill, Swipe, and Flare. Some movements borrowed from martial arts such as kick buttertfly (A stylish one-handed handstand, commonly used as part of the freeze).
-Freeze is to resist the movement with a good pose. Increasingly difficult to freeze, requiring breaker body strength to restrain himself, with a pose like a Handstand.
-Suicide is a dance cover of a habit breaker. Breaker will make himself terhilat lose control and fall with the back, stomach, etc.. Music

Music became an important element in street dance, sometimes exciting music can be an inspiration for the breakers of this. Music-music with break beat rhythm is mandatory menu here, with a mixture of other music such as Hip Hop, to R & B. Music is not left purely for granted, because there is a charge of cultivating DJ music so that will sound very compatible with existing movements.  Tempo of music played on here ranges between 110 to 135 beats per minute (BPM), while in Europe for the music business is a bit different when compared with America. If in America the use of black dancers their dance music to go to the left, then the Europeans choose the type of electronica and rock music to accompany them. Different music into a distinctive color in this world, and the movements they play even more extreme look.

Fashion

For the Dancer, in addition to music, fashion or wardrobe is also a very important part, because they think fashion is an identity for themselves. Dancers select brand Adidas, Puma, or Fila shoes they used to, because the shoe of this brand has a very comfortable level of flexibility and sufficient to support them in doing the movements in this dance. Some dancers even the deliberate use of hats, t-shirts and shoes with the same brand so it looks more harmonious.
In addition to the identity of the dancers, it turns out some of the attributes that they use also has a double function, namely as a protector when they do the movements quite extreme. Although it serves as a protector, but still only part of this fashion is very interesting to note and of course still support the fashion. Headwear such as a skateboard helmet or hat to shield their heads when the motion headspins (rotating with the head of the pedestal and legs above). Also they were wearing bandanas on their forehead is also useful to keep their hair so it does not cover their eyes while dancing.
Indonesia also does not seem to lose in this type of dance. Some dancers in Indonesia also won the street dance competitions held overseas. The development of street dance here, too, can be spelled out quite rapidly, but unfortunately some dancers still less in matters of appearance, such as the selection of the wrong place to do strange movements, either because they want to show off or there is no place anymore.
